We have this plant in our 'used-to-be' garden, I don't even know what it is called, but it makes a wonderful place for dew drops to 'hang-on' every morning in the spring. These are a few of the photos I have taken trying to get that 'perfect shot'. Your dew drop pics are stunning. I am blown away. The detail of the water is so amazing. Also, the color is so perfect.
ReplyDeleteI used to have one of those plants too and they are wonderful for capturing dew, for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. It will come to me at 1 am and then I won't be able to sleep! :) I would love to know how you captured your last 2 photos. Are you willing to tell me what lens/equipment you use? I have tried similar shots with not much luck. Any suggestions?

Rebecca - the last two shots were taken with a Canon 40D and a 100mm macro lens. Of course, I had to use a tripod for those, but with the 40D, you have 'live-view', so you can set up the shot on a tripod and then view from the camera and then use manual focus (you have to use manual focus with live-view) to get the best focus and shoot. I usually use aperture setting at about 2.8 to 4. Thanks for the comments. Wendy
